Students taking Czech language courses at PEC Brno have the option of staying in one of PEC's student residences or choosing their own accommodation in Brno. There are 3 basic accommodation options to choose from for the duration of Prague Education Center's academic preparatory programs in Brno: Bosonohy Dormitory, Chillhills Apartments and others, or individual accommodation of the student's choice.
How do I choose and book accommodation?
- Step 1: Familiarize yourself with all the information on this page, even if you don't think some sections are relevant to you. Find the right accommodation for you.
- Step 2: Reserve your accommodation through the Center's information system. Reservations are only available after the tuition deposit has been paid.
- Step 3: Follow the instructions provided by PEC staff in the response to your application.
Student House Residence
Address: Úvoz 447/120, Brno
Cost: from 320€ per month
Class of residence: premium
Distance from the educational building: 20-25 minutes by public transportation.
Accommodation options: 2-bed rooms, 3-bed rooms, 4-bed room
Facilities: 2 bathrooms per floor (male and female), 2 kitchens per floor. In the block for 4 own bathroom and kitchen.
Free services in the residence: iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, dryer, internet, TVs.
Mentor support: Russian-speaking mentor support is available
Green neighborhood of Brno, ideal for sports activities - running, bicycles, rollerblades.
Bosonohy Residence
Residence class: economy
Distance from the educational building: 30-35 minutes by public transportation.
Accommodation options: 2-bed rooms in a block, 3-bed rooms in a block
Facilities: bathroom on the block, kitchen on the floor
Free services in the residence: iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, change of bed linen once every 2 weeks, gym, study room, printer, scanner, internet.
Paid services in the residence: use of laundry room
PEC supervisor support: Russian-speaking PEC supervisor support is provided.
Cost of accommodation: from 320€ per month
Residence Chillhills Apartments
Residence class: premium
Cost: from 320€ per month
Distance from the educational building: 15 minutes by public transportation
Accommodation options: 2-bed rooms, single accommodation
Facilities: bathroom and kitchen on the block
Free services in the residence: iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner.
Paid services in the residence: use of the laundry room
Mentor support: Russian-speaking PEC Mentor support is provided.
- When booking accommodation to obtain documents, you must pay a refundable to the Center's account, which is a guarantee for the Center to pay the actual costs incurred in the process of processing documents confirming the student's residence in one of the Center's dormitories.
- In each of the residences the student is responsible for cleaning the room himself/herself. Bed linen, iron, ironing board and kettle are provided in the residences. Towels, dishes and utensils are either purchased by you or brought with you
- If the student chooses an individual reservation, he/she pays a deposit to the residence hall account equal to the cost of one month's stay. The deposit does not constitute payment for the first month's stay.
The deposit is refunded upon check-out, according to the rules established by the residence.
If you are not satisfied with the proposed accommodation options, you can decide on your own. The cost of accommodation in rented apartments varies from 400 to 700 euros per month/person. If you choose your own accommodation, you should inform us in writing about your decision at info@pec.cz.
