What an applicant needs to know

Admission of documents to Czech universities takes place earlier than in educational institutions of the CIS. The admission committee of the University in Budejovice accepts applications until the end of March. Too late — your application will not be considered, even if you are a future Nobel laureate and gold medalist. Applications are accepted by e-mail, so the excuses "did not have time" are not suitable.

Important! According to the competition of certificates (without passing entrance exams), you can enter the economic, pedagogical and agricultural faculties, as well as the specialties of fish farming and water protection. The other faculties will have to take tests. A prerequisite is the presence of a language certificate of at least B2. With other equal indicators (average certification score, grades in specialized subjects), the advantage will be given to the applicant with a higher level of proficiency in the national language.

Language requirements

If you want to study for free, then you cannot do without knowledge of the Czech language. And not for communication, but for mastering the mandatory program. Self-study and a tutor are unlikely to help you learn the language in the right volume, especially since specialized terms are also included in the mandatory language base. And the certificate of category B1 and higher required for admission to the South Bohemian University is issued only by certified language courses. So, if guarantees are needed, this is the only option.

Requirements for documents

All documents submitted for admission must be nostrified, that is, the authenticity of the certificate (diploma) must be confirmed by the Czech Department of Education.

Entrance exams

If you choose a specialty that is not accepted by the certificate competition, then get ready for testing. Moreover, in several subjects at the same time, since the exam takes place in one stage. The questionnaire contains blocks of the "question — 5 answers" type. Your task is to specify the correct one, 1 point is awarded for it. Mistakes are penalized, so it's better not to answer than to put a "tick" in the wrong place.

In addition to standard social benefits, scholarships for excellent studies and partial coverage of living expenses, South Bohemian University students are also eligible to apply for individual benefits sponsored by the university and individual faculties.
For example, at the Faculty of Fisheries and Water Resources Protection, students receive up to 16,000 kronor per month for excellent academic success, and doctoral students, in turn, can count on scholarships of up to 20,000 kronor per month.

Students representing the university at sporting events are also entitled to certain payments.

The usual entertainment program for young people is provided: sports, dancing, martial arts. However, the rector's office relies on future scientists, so laboratories and research centers are much better equipped than discos and sports grounds.

In a short period of its existence, it has produced many well-known specialists who hold senior positions, both in Czech government agencies and in international companies. Do you want to conquer Europe with your talent and get a high-paying job? Do not forget to apply on time, it will not take much time and effort.
